What do you talk about when you talk about Law & Development?

Law and Development | Direito e Desenvolvimento

This is the intriguing question Iagê Miola and Diogo Coutinho answer in an article published in VRÜ/WCL (2022).

The piece describes how they understand Law and Development, and L&D teaching, based on their conceptual views, as well as on the authors’ practical experiences in the classroom.

As Murakami wrote in the foreword to ‘What I Talk About When I Talk About Running’, “this book does not contain a ‘philosophy per se’ about running, but rather ‘lessons’ learned while putting the body in motion. “These lessons”, he says, “are not easy to generalise because, in the end, they are just too personal”; they are who he is.

The authors’ effort in this article is somewhat similar. Their reflections are no grand theory of L&D, but instead personal lessons that depict what they learned along the way.
